Your camera stays yours. MARE processes camera effects on your iPhone.
MARE: Analog Video Camera is developed by Fan Leong Hung (moon.noon). This policy describes the iPhone app and contacting its developer for support.
Camera and microphone
Camera permission provides the live viewfinder and lets you capture photos and videos with effects. Optional microphone permission provides audio for video recordings and sound-reactive effects. These inputs are processed on the device. MARE does not send camera or microphone input to the developer or a developer-operated server.
Captures, looks and settings
Captured media, thumbnails, capture information, favourites, personal looks and preferences are stored in the app on your iPhone. Capture information includes details such as creation time, duration, dimensions and the starting look. The app does not request your location or contacts.
With your permission, MARE saves separate copies of captures to Photos. Photos and app data may be included in Apple-managed synchronization or device backups according to your device settings.
Photos and sharing
Photos access is used to add captures to your photo library. When you share a capture, iOS sends it to the app or recipient you choose. Those services handle the shared copy under their own privacy practices. Instagram-ready sharing prepares a temporary photo copy for the share sheet and preserves the original capture.
Apple purchases
Pro purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple through StoreKit. MARE checks verified purchase information to determine Pro access, expiry and restoration. Payment card details are not provided to MARE. Apple's account, payment and platform services are governed by Apple's privacy practices.
Tracking and data collection
MARE contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs and does not track you across apps or websites. The developer does not collect camera input, microphone input, captures, personal looks or usage analytics through the app. Apple may process information for its own services and platform features.
Your controls
You can change Camera, Microphone and Photos permissions in iPhone Settings. Deleting an item in MARE removes its gallery copy, not copies saved to Photos or sent elsewhere. Removing the app deletes its local data; copies, device backups and Apple purchase history are managed separately through the relevant Apple services.

This support website is hosted by OpenAI Sites. The hosting service may process network requests needed to deliver and secure the website. This is separate from data handling in the iPhone app.

If the app's data handling changes, this page and the App Store privacy disclosures will be updated. The effective date above identifies this policy.
